About Ahmad

Ahmad Ali is the founder and editor-in-chief of SportsPortal.net, launched in April 2026. A chartered accountancy finalist with deep analytical skills, Ahmad applies data-driven thinking to sports journalism — moving beyond surface-level reporting to provide context, tactical analysis, and insight that sports fans in Pakistan and around the world actually want.

Growing up in Pakistan, Ahmad developed a passion for cricket and football from an early age, following the PSL, international test cricket, and the Premier League with the same dedication he brought to his professional studies. He recognised a gap in Pakistan’s sports media landscape: quality in-depth analysis written from a Pakistani perspective, covering not just local leagues but the full breadth of global sport.

SportsPortal.net was his answer to that gap. Ahmad oversees editorial strategy, content quality, and the platform’s growth, combining professional rigour with genuine sporting knowledge to build a platform that Pakistani sports fans can trust.

Editorial Philosophy

  • Facts before opinions: Every factual claim is cross-referenced against official sources before publication.
  • Context over clicks: We explain why a result matters, not just that it happened.
  • Pakistan perspective: Global sport covered through a lens that resonates with Pakistani audiences.
  • Corrections policy: Errors are corrected promptly, transparently, and with a clear note on what changed.
